And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Jesus is known as the “Righteous One” (1 John 2: 1)
When I follow Jesus, He leads me down paths, byways, highways and roads less traveled by which are “righteous.”
He does so for “his name’s sake.”
His reputation and His name are at stake for which road He leads us on.
The “righteous one” cannot lead me down paths which are “unrighteous.”
If He did what would that suggest for “his name’s sake”?
Listen to what Jesus says:
“Enter through the narrow gate.
For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matthew 7: 13-14)
Lots of roads will be diverging today for you to choose to travel upon.
Some will be broad and some will be narrow.
Some will be easy to take and some will be difficult to navigate.
Let me encourage you to let Jesus lead you through the narrow and less traveled road.
I do believe that will make all the difference!
