Lent Day 7 – Miracle #2 continues to take a look at one of the seven miracles Jesus performs in the book of John.

Jesus’ first miracle was turning six jars of water into 960 bottles of wine!

The second miracle of Jesus takes place once again in Cana. An “Official” from Capernaum travels sixteen miles to see Jesus on behalf of his dying son.

After pleading with Jesus to come home with him to heal his ailing son, Jesus simply says, “Go: your son will live.”

What the man does next is what blows my mind. “The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way.”

No pushback! No words of being aghast that Jesus would not physically make the trip. No words of, “He was just trying to get rid of me. He has such a busy schedule. Why did I even make this futile trip?”

Nothing of the sort… The man believed… the word… that was spoken… and went on his way.

And his ailing son was healed!

Is there an area of your life in need of healing?

Do you trust Jesus to take care of the matter, allowing you to “go on your way?”
